Ivo Portugal Cuomo

Lawyer graduated under the Excellence modality from the Private University of Santa Cruz de la Sierra - UPSA. Winner of the Scholarship for Excellence in every semester. He has graduated with a mention in International Law in 2021 and is currently an assistant professor in various subjects such as: public international law; conciliation and international arbitration; commercial, labour and tax law.

 

Before joining Wayar & von Borries Abogados SC, he completed his professional internships at the Conciliation and Arbitration Centre of the Santa Cruz Chamber of Industry, Commerce, Services and Tourism (CCAC-CAINCO) and worked in a legal firm in the field, where he acquired experience in comprehensive legal advice, commercial law, corporate law and compliance. Currently, at Wayar & von Borries Abogados S.C., he works in the areas of commercial law and corporate law.

In 2021, he participated in the XIII Edition of the Madrid Moot, organized by the Carlos III University of Madrid, in which his team was awarded the Honorable Mention in the Albert H. Kritzer Award for Best Demand Brief. He is the author of the thesis "Ethical principles in Private Law and its justified legal interpretation (article 164 Commercial Code)" and has written articles.
